Last month saw the HPG visiting one of the most historic and legendary sites in Herefordshire....Hergest Court. Centuries stories of a paranormal nature
associated with this property have existed. It is even said Sir Arthur Conan Doyle stayed here and got the idea for his book The Hound of the Baskervilles. We also were joined by a special guest for the evening (Haunted Hereford author David Phelps). David started off the proceedings by telling the team the most famous tale associated with the property in a way that only a good story teller could.
The building itself has never been investigated by a paranormal team despite its association with the subject and the owner has indicated this investigation could actually be a "one off". We were so lucky to be given the opportunity to be trusted with both the properties. We are currently reviewing the footage and reading taken on the night, but perhaps maybe the common reports from investigators on the night was audible phenomena that couldn't always be accounted for.
For those that follow the HPG, they will know that the team always take December off (a busy time for all who have Chritmas plans) and do not conduct investigations over this month. However, that does not mean that the behind the scenes work ceases. We are now very much organising the journey that will commence in 2012. Bookings of locations for next year began some time ago. But there are still some months available, so do please contact us if you own or manage a property that you think is suitable. We are also already thinking about next years charity event. Collaborations with other colleagues and teams next year are also organised. And yes.......it is still our aim to include guests through our Reserve membership team so that anyone with an interest in the subject or work we do can be included.
2011 has been a fantastic year for the HPG. New projects, new locations and new friendships have formed. There have been a few positive changes made within the team itself. We appreciate the HPG has lasted for a lot more years than anyone could have possibly predicted. Our first investigation in 2006 and birth of the group seems such a long time ago. When we pass June 2012 we see us celebrating our 7th anniversary of investigating in Herefordshire and the surrounding areas. Maybe there should be a big project involving as many as possible for our 10th anniversary? All this is due to the dedication of all the team and the support which has very much continued. A huge thank you to everyone.
All that is left to say is we wish everyone a very Happy Christmas, Yule blessings and a wonderful New Year. See you in 2012.
